The London branch of the GCUOBA recently held their International Meeting and Launching of the Association from Friday the 22nd of August to Sunday the 24th of August 2008. The event which wes held at the Renaissance Chancery Court [Marriott Hotel] London, had in attendance top dignitries and government functionaries both from Nigeria and in the diaspora.

The keynote address was delivered by The Rt. Rev. C. Okorocha(The Bishop of Owerri). The Special Special Guests of honour at the event included His Excellency Chief Achike Udenwa(former governor of Imo State), Prince Vincent Ogbulafor ( National Chairman of the PDP), Mr Ernest Ndukwe( Exec. Chairman/CEO NCC), Dr. Emma Ukpong - National President, GCUOBA, Mr. Reginald Ihejiahi - MD/ CEO Fidelity Bank, Mr Emeka Onwuka - MD/CEO Diamond Bank and Mr Onyema Nkele - President GCUOBA, USA amongst others.

The three day event featured amongst other events the reunion night where members of the GCUOBA had the opportunity of meeting fellow old boys of the college. There was also a conference, a sight seeing tour and also a gala night and fundraising dinner to raise funds for the association. Below are pictures from the event.
