Fresh Pictures from the London 2008 Meeting and Launching of the GCUOBA UK branch
The London Chapter of the GCUOBA held their International Meeting and Launching of the Association from Friday the 22nd of August to Sunday the 24th of August 2008. The event which was held at the Renaissance Chancery Court [Marriott Hotel] London, had in attendance top dignitries and old boys from Government College Umuahia
The three-day event featured amongst other events
the reunion night where members of the GCUOBA had the opportunity of meeting
fellow old boys of the college. There was also a conference, a sight seeing
tour and also a gala night and fundraising dinner to raise funds for the
association. Below are pictures from the

Commissioned Projects
The 2008 Home Coming Anniversary of the GCUOBA held from Friday 2nd May through to Sunday the 4th of May 2008 can be described as nothing a remarkable success. Participants at the event witnessed the commissioning of various GCUOBA projects . Notable among such laudable projects is the renovation of some stuctures in the college such as Simpson House, NEW House, AD Block, Fisher House amongst others. Below are pictures of recently commissioned projects.

Fellow Umuahians, take a tour of our once Great Alma mater and see if you can recognize anything. I must warn you that some houses have decayed, some have fallen, some living on a borrowed dormitory. Infact do you know that Niger House is no longer called as such, do you know the school tailor Mazi Onuoha Gabriel is still at the college doing what he knows how to do best.

Photos at the chieftaincy title investiture of Dr. D. F. Obianyor Dr. D.F. Obianyor was recently conferred with the title of "Ezechinyelugo 1" of Orji Amokwe, by HRH Igwe R.E. Ene "Okwedike" of the Orji Amokwe Autonomous Community. The conferment ceremony took place on Saturday the 30th of December 2006 at the Palace of HRH Igwe R.E. Ene. Reception followed afterwards at the OBIANYORS - -"WHITE HOUSE" while a thanksgiving mass was held at at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Amokwe the following morning.
